Dodge Brake Pads
An important part of the braking system of the Dodge vehicle
that is equipped with disc brake is the Dodge brake pads. They are
steel backing plates that have friction material which are bound to the
surface facing the brake disc.

Dodge brake pads convert kinetic energy
through the process of friction. As the Dodge brake pads are heated up
by being in contact with the rotor, it starts to transfer small amounts
of friction material to the disc. The brake rotor and the disk that has
now with friction material on, will stick to each other to provide
stopping power. The friction of the Dodge brake pad against the disk is
responsible for the majority of the stopping power.
Dodge brake pads are essential components
of the vehicle’s brake systems which are accountable for absorbing the
impact of the frictional force which is needed to stop the vehicle. It
is commonly positioned in the middle of the brake rotors and the brake
calipers to be able to take up heat and energy. Also, to be able to
deliver enough grip to halt the Dodge vehicle.
Having worn brake pads can adversely impact your ability to put your
car to a halt. This can be very dangerous in an emergency situation
when adequately working brakes are a must to help stop the car
promptly. Some of the signs of pending brake trouble are: squealing
brakes, wheel grabs, brake pedal pumping, sudden and hard brake pedal,
grinding of the brakes, spongy brake pedals and pulling of the car from
one side to the other. Some of these signs may necessitate replacing
other brake components. An inspection of the Dodge brake pads should
reveal if they are worn and in need of immediate replacement.
