Dodge Fan Clutch
Dodge vehicle radiator needs a fan that would spin speedily
so to give air for cooling the engine. This fan features for or more
blades that are usually mounted between the radiator and the engine in
order for the outside air to easily find its way on to the radiator.
To be able to draw more air, some of the vehicles have an additional
fan that is positioned in front of the radiator. The extra fan is aimed
particularly during summer season or if the vehicle is not moving fast
enough. On such situations, a very small amount of cool air gets in the
radiator that is why the engine is not cooled properly.
So it will be more efficient, the
radiator is equipped with a Dodge fan clutch. This is a small fluid
mixture that has a thermostatic apparatus and is designed to be in
command of a variable speed fan. Dodge fun clutch makes sure that the
fun will be able to run or spin at the proper speed so to prevent the
engine from overheating as well as to decrease drive on to the fan if
it is no longer needed.
Dodge fan clutch possesses a fluid
mixture partly made up of silicone oil which is intended for that sole
purpose. If the temperature of the air which passes through the
radiator gets higher, the heart commands a bi-metal coil springs to
expand. As it expands, it allows little more oil to come into the fluid
coupling before it will be able to start to run or rotate the fan.
Opposite thing happens if then the air that comes through the radiator
is cool.
Rather than expanding, the coils springs contracts, then the
oil departs from the fluid coupling, thus, the operation of the fan
slow down.
